Monrovia, CA--Volume holographic grating manufacturer Ondax, Inc., announced that it has received a major order for that company’s PowerLocker wavelength stabilization filters from a leading supplier of high-power fiber lasers and amplifiers. The filters will be used to stabilize and improve the performance and efficiency of fiber lasers across a number of key applications. According to the company, this represents the first high-volume integration of volume holographic grating technology into commercial high-power industrial laser markets.
The volume holographic glass grating diffracts a specified wavelength at a given diffraction efficiency and can provide laser wavelength stabilization by narrowing the spectral emission of the laser.
According to Randy Heyler, Ondax President and CEO, “Our selection as the primary supplier in this competitive evaluation demonstrates a high degree of confidence in our ability to scale volume while maintaining high quality and performance. To earn this recognition from a top-tier industrial laser company is a true validation of our team and our capabilities, and shows the broadening potential for VHG technology across multiple applications in the industrial laser market.”
Delivery of the PowerLocker stabilization filters has already started and will continue throughout the year.
