PRESS RELEASE

SCHNEIDER KREUZNACH introduces UltraLED

For the first time, Schneider-Kreuznach presents its own LED illumination systems for optimizing industrial machine vision applications at VISION 2010.

BAD KREUZNACH, 22 October 2010.

In cooperation with Volpi AG, the Swiss specialist for fiber-optic and optoelectronic illumination systems, Schneider-Kreuznach will be producing modern LED illumination systems in future. “We are offering LED illumination systems that fully capture the potential of our high-precision photographic lenses,” says Dr. Josef Staub, CEO of the
Schneider Group. The new products will be presented for the first time at VISION 2010 in Stuttgart.

With this new development, the company is expanding its expertise in the area of optics to include LED illumination. In keeping with its high standards, Schneider-Kreuznach is designing and producing customized solutions for demanding tasks that take precision and brightness to new levels. For example, they can be used to automatically test wafers or solar cells. “We can only satisfy the growing demands by optimizing both illumination and optics and adapting them to the requirements of individual applications,” says Max Kunz, CEO of Volpi AG. In addition, applications in the area of machine vision, medical technology and semi-conductor technology are in the pipeline.
