The FLEXPOINT laser modules for microscope applications achieve a beam diameter of 0.020 mm at a distance of 100 mm (1/e2), with available operating voltages of 4.5–6 or 8–30 VDC. Low power consumption of <50 mW at an output power of 0.5 mW enables connection to existing electric circuits. New types of laser modules were developed specifically for applications in which a microscope is used as the optical source of magnification.
