Calmar Laser to show fiber based femtosecond laser at SPIE BiOS and SPIE Photonics West 2014

Jan. 22, 2014
The Carmel laser has an ultra-compact laser head, about 100 times smaller than many Ti:Sapphire lasers with similar output power levels.

The Carmel is a high-power, air-cooled, fiber-based femtosecond laser with an ultra-compact laser head, about 100 times smaller than many Ti:Sapphire lasers with a similar output power levels. It is an easy to use, rugged, industrial laser system. The Carmel’s operation is based upon the company’s proprietary passively mode-locked fiber laser technology, utilizing a saturable absorber, to ensure reliable startup and stable long term performance, with hands free operation. The Carmel offers user-friendly front panel control knobs and/or RS232 control for flexible system adjustment.
