REO to introduce ion beam-sputtered laser crystal coating services at SPIE Photonics West

Jan. 22, 2014
Coating services for customer-furnished nonlinear crystals and laser gain materials used in a wide range of laser applications are available, including gain crystals, nonlinear crystals, and Q-switches.

Coating services for customer-furnished nonlinear crystals and laser gain materials used in a wide range of laser applications are available, including gain crystals, nonlinear crystals, and Q-switches. The coatings utilize the company's proprietary Ion Beam Sputtering process to produce fully densified films for ultra-low loss, low absorption, high laser damage threshold, and environmental stability. Tooling techniques precisely control the clear aperture and minimize overspray.
