Laser Quantum to display femtosecond, CW lasers at SPIE DSS 2014

April 28, 2014
The Taccor hermetically sealed, 1 GHz femtosecond laser gives over 10x the separation and power per frequency of an 84 MHz source for frequency comb generation, while the Opus continuous-wave (CW) laser comes in 532, 660, and 1064 nm versions.

The Taccor hermetically sealed, 1 GHz femtosecond laser gives over 10x the separation and power per frequency of an 84 MHz source for frequency comb generation. For two-photon imaging of live cells, the laser is available from 750 to 920 nm for use with over 95% of commonly used fluorescent dyes, including green fluorescent protein (GFP). The laser's high repetition rate permits a significant increase in observation time before a cell under study is lethally damaged. lifetime increases of up to ten times have been reported.

The Opus continuous-wave (CW) laser comes in 532, 660, and 1064 nm versions, with up to 10 W of output power. The 532 nm version has use as a pump source for ultrafast lasers as well as a light source for machine vision and head-up displays (HUDs). Both the 532 and 660 nm versions address applications in super-resolution microscopy, and the 1064 nm version is a 10 W source with utility in laser designator applications. Diode mean time-to-failure (MTTF) exceeds 100,000 h. SPIE DSS booth number: 1103To Learn More:
