Now a wholly owned subsidiary of II-VI Incorporated (Nasdaq: IIVI), Lightworks Optical Systems has announced the launch of its new name and corporate identity as II-VI Optical Systems in support of the business unit and divisional restructuring effort of II-VI.

As a vertically integrated provider of high precision optical assemblies, objectives, infrared optics and components, windows, domes, thin film coatings, and optical materials, II-VI Optical Systems will continue offering its award-winning design engineering, manufacturing, assembly and test capabilities for a variety of applications in the defense, medical, aerospace, and commercial markets. II-VI Optical Systems is now positioned in the Military and Materials Group under II-VI Inc.’s Performance Product Segment. Also included in the Military and Materials Group are the II-VI Performance Metals and II-VI Max Levy divisions.

Headquartered in Murrieta, CA, II-VI Optical Systems will continue to operate from its Murrieta and Tustin, CA facilities.
