Laser heating systems consisting of multiple VCSEL arrays provide power output of >4 kW at wavelengths of 808, 976, and 1064 nm. The heaters measure ~20 cm long and consist of a line of 5 × 5 mm VCSEL arrays, each delivering 200 W/cm. They are designed for applications including additive manufacturing and industrial printing.
