Distributed-feedback laser diodes are available in 780 nm, 80 mW and GaAs-based 852 nm, 100 mW versions for metrology applications, and now have an optional hermetically sealed standard butterfly housing with window. The housing provides a collimated beam with a circular profile. The package includes an integrated thermistor, thermoelectric cooler, and monitor diode.
