Apollo Instruments to showcase lasers and laser diode systems at SPIE Photonics West 2016

Jan. 25, 2016
The company's lasers and laser diode systems use beam-shaping techniques that substantially maintain the brightness of emitters while increasing power output by beam combination.

The company's lasers and laser diode systems use beam-shaping techniques that substantially maintain the brightness of emitters while increasing power output by beam combination. Applications include material processing and medical research, among others. By saving >30% conversion efficiency, the high-brightness and high-power diode lasers provide a cost-effective alternative for fiber lasers in applications such as welding, cladding, powder fusion, fast prototyping, plastic welding, and many applications, while the fiber lasers also have use in metal cutting.
