Responding to markets, Edmund Optics opens Silicon Valley office

Edmund Optics opens a new business development, sales, and applications office in Cupertino.  

Edmund Optics (Barrington, NJ) announced its expansion into Silicon Valley with the opening of a new office in Cupertino, CA. The location will house business development, sales, and applications engineering to service the engineering and product development needs of the region. The office will also have a lab for testing and system development, and a training classroom.

William Dover, Director of Business Development at Edmund Optics, will head the new office. He has been with the company since 2000, and has extensive experience in technical sales, applications and business development, program management, and project engineering.

"While semiconductors continue to be a driving force in Silicon Valley, this region has become an innovation hub for many industries including life sciences, biomedical, automotive, and wearable technology," says Greg Hollows, Director of the company's Imaging Business Unit. "Our customer base continues to show strong growth because of the increasingly important role that optics plays in these applications. By opening this office, we're ensuring that we can provide the highest caliber of support to our current and future partners in Silicon Valley while remaining at the forefront of optics technology."
