Laser safety products provider Kentek (Pittsfield, NH) has launched its PHOTON1 mobile store, which brings the company's expertise and educational capabilities to businesses and laboratories throughout the United States.
The company purchased a new Ford Transit 250 van, wrapped it, and filled it with product examples from all of its laser safety lines. With a showroom full of interactive displays, the company can now bring customers a hands-on learning experience that includes onsite laser safety equipment demonstrations. Products include interlock systems, barriers, enclosures, beam stops/dumps, and laser safety eyewear frames and filters.
PHOTON1 provides an opportunity for laser safety officers (LSOs) and others to gather insight into American National Standards Institute (ANSI)-compliant laser safety solutions. Experienced laser experts show the full range of the company's products and services, and discuss possibilities of customization for specific laser application environments.
So far, Tom MacMullin, Kentek's president and general manager, and his son, Thomas, have journeyed with PHOTON1 12,400 miles, visiting 24 states, including Texas, Colorado, and California, and nearly 300 customers.
