Logan, UT--The Cache Chamber of Commerce recently honored laser measurement company Ophir-Spiricon, a Newport Corp. brand, as its Outstanding Technology Business of the Year. Company president Gary Wagner accepted the award at the Chamber's 2012 annual awards banquet at Utah State University (also in Logan, UT).

The company received the honor due to a couple of factors—its steady growth and community support, says Sandra Emile, Cache Chamber of Commerce CEO.

The company's modular, customizable solutions serve the manufacturing, medical, military, and research industries. In the last five years the company has more than doubled its size to 58 employees, quadrupled its revenue to $21 million, and in 2011 moved into a new 18,000-sq-ft facility in North Logan, UT, says Wagner.
