Lambda Research Corp. to showcase new version of its optical design software at SPIE Photonics West 2015

Jan. 6, 2015
TracePro v7.6 opto-mechanical software, with its CAD interface and interactive optimizers, has use in design, analysis, and optimization of optical and illumination systems.

TracePro v7.6 opto-mechanical software, with its CAD interface and interactive optimizers, has use in design, analysis, and optimization of optical and illumination systems. New features include 1D scattering models for surfaces that scatter strongly in only one plane, like brushed or machined surfaces; a database of Scatter Models with its own Editor that can be used with Surface Property Models; and the ability to combine two or more scatter models from the new database into one surface property. The latter capability is useful for modeling surfaces that have a mix of 1D and 2D scatter, or for fitting measured data using more two or more mathematical models added together.
