ID Quantique to showcase single-photon detector at LASER World of Photonics 2015

June 12, 2015
The ID230 single-photon detector delivers cooling down to -100°C, yielding a decreased dark count rate.

The ID230 single-photon detector has an avalanche photodiode working in Geiger mode to deliver cooling down to -100°C, yielding a decreased dark count rate. The module can operate at detection probability levels of up to 25%, with a deadtime that can be set between 1 and 100 ms. Photon arrival time is reflected by a 100 ns low-voltage transistor-transistor logic (LVTTL) pulse, with a timing resolution of 200 ps.
