Inrad Optics to introduce crystalline stilbene cylinders at SPIE Photonics West 2016

The Scintinel stilbene scintillation crystals are available off-the-shelf as cylinders from 1 to 4 in. in diameter and length.

The Scintinel stilbene scintillation crystals are available off-the-shelf as cylinders from 1 to 4 in. in diameter and length. The smaller formats are provided standalone, wrapped in PTFE, or packaged in aluminum canister for integration with photomultiplier tubes. A potential application for the crystals is next-generation radiation detection equipment for homeland security, nuclear nonproliferation, and neutron detection at nuclear facilities.
