Rogers PES to highlight thermal management material at SPIE Photonics West 2016
The curamik CoolPerformance Plus advanced liquid-cooled material dissipates large amounts of heat to provide thermal management of high-power laser diodes and other heat-generating optical devices. The material features several layers of copper foils that are formed into hermetic, 3D micro- or macrochannel water-cooled structures capable dissipating large amounts of heat in small areas. Additional ceramic aluminum nitride (AlN) layers separate the cooling water channels from the electrical contacts of laser diodes.
