Nutfield Technology to display three-axis scan head at SPIE Photonics West 2017

Jan. 20, 2017
The Ultralight 3XB three-axis scan head uses a dynamic focusing system to produce a flat field rather than an f-theta lens.

The Ultralight 3XB three-axis scan head uses a dynamic focusing system to produce a flat field rather than an f-theta lens. They are often used to create a large scan field with a relatively small spot. Spot sizes as small as 260 µm or scan fields as large as 400 × 400 m are achievable. The ability to vary the field and spot size allows use in industrial processing and robotic automation.
