Broadband emitter from Avo Photonics achieves collinearity of multiple beams
A solid-state, broadband, continuous emitter, developed for Luxmux spectrometers, combines the outputs of multiple superluminescent LEDs into a polarization-maintaining single-mode fiber. It achieves collinearity of multiple beams to an overlap of 700 μm and pointing to within 250 μrad. The >100 mW, fiber-coupled source provides continuous emission over the 1250–1750 nm band.
