Two inorganic ceramic phosphor converters are designed for use with high-luminance sources in digital projectors. The phosphor materials are green and yellow fluorescent ceramics that convert blue laser light into yellow light, which can be segmented by color filters to generate primary colors. The materials are temperature-stable, heat-conductive, and energy-efficient.
