BIT Group's new optics lab accommodates lasers up to class 3B

FEBRUARY 10, 2009 -- BIT Group, provider of contract services for OEM high end analytical and medical instrument applications, has opened a new optics laboratory within BIT Analytical Instruments, GmbH (Schwalbach, Germany). The lab has been optimized for operational and maintenance efficiency. Located in a climate controlled facility near the production department, it includes a cleanroom area and accommodates lasers up to class 3B.

FEBRUARY 10, 2009 -- BIT Group, provider of contract services for OEM high end analytical and medical instrument applications, has opened a new optics laboratory within BIT Analytical Instruments, GmbH (Schwalbach, Germany). The lab has been optimized for operational and maintenance efficiency, has is located in a climate controlled facility close to the production department to better facilitate access by production and R&D personnel. A cleanroom area has been established and additional laser safety equipment accommodates lasers up to class 3B.

BIT Group has extensive experience with series production as well as development and re-design of diagnostic instruments with various optical detection systems. As was its former lab, BIT Group's new lab is equipped with calibrated spectrometers, optical power meters and standard optics tools and systems used in constructing various test assemblies. Additional optics equipment/capabilities include photomultiplier units; photometers for turbidimetry and nephelometry; multicolor fluorescence microscopes; confocal microscopy; evanescent field technology; and high-resolution imaging. For convenience of U.S. Customers, BIT Group's California-based Source Scientific LLC also has an optics laboratory.
