Toptica Photonics adds features to OEM diode laser series

Toptica Photonics’ iBeam smart OEM diode laser series now include FINE: Feedback Induced Noise Eraser; SKILL: Speckle KILLer; digital and analog modulation; Autopulse; Graphical User Interface; record power levels; and single-mode fiber coupling.

Toptica Photonics’ iBeam smart OEM diode laser series now include FINE: Feedback Induced Noise Eraser; SKILL: Speckle KILLer; digital and analog modulation; Autopulse; Graphical User Interface; record power levels; and single-mode fiber coupling.

FINE makes the iBeam smart completely insensitive to optical feedback. SKILL function acts as a purely electronic “speckle killer” by decreasing the longitudinal coherence lengths of emitted light to a minimum. This is a long demanded feature, without adding any complexity to the customer’s setup.

Typical applications include flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, microlithography, retina scanning and more.
