Fiber-coupled diode laser product offering suits several bioinstrumentation applications

June 21, 2010
Particularly well suited for bioinstrumentation applications such as flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, medical imaging, high-throughput drug discovery and genomics, CUBE FP fiber pigtailed diode lasers from Coherent, Inc. are now available at 405- (50 mW), 445- (25 mW), 488- (30 mW), 640- (30 and 75 mW) and 660-nm (75 mW) wavelengths.

Particularly well suited for bioinstrumentation applications such as flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, medical imaging, high-throughput drug discovery and genomics, CUBE FP fiber pigtailed diode lasers from Coherent, Inc. (Santa Clara, CA) are now available at 405- (50 mW), 445- (25 mW), 488- (30 mW), 640- (30 and 75 mW) and 660-nm (75 mW) wavelengths. Two design configurations are available for each wavelength and power level; one produces a high-quality (M2 < 1.1), collimated output beam, while the second delivers output from a single-mode, polarization-preserving fiber on a FC/APC connection. Features include direct modulation at frequencies up to 150 MHz digital and 350 kHz analog, low noise (<0.2% rms from 20 Hz to 10 MHz), a small, 100 × 40 (3.9 × 1.6 in.) mounting area, as well as both USB and RS-232 connectivity.
