Coherent, Inc.'s Sapphire™ 532 nm (green) optically pumped semiconductor lasers (OPSL) are available with either 200- or 300-mW output, both providing a high-quality TEM00 output beam characterized by low noise (0.25% rms).

Coherent, Inc.'s (Santa Clara, CA) Sapphire™ 532 nm (green) optically pumped semiconductor lasers (OPSL) are available with either 200- or 300-mW output, both providing a high-quality TEM00 output beam characterized by low noise (0.25% rms). With compact packaging at 125 × 70 × 34 mm and low power consumption, the Sapphire 532 lasers come available in 460-, 488-, 514-, 561-, and 568-nm wavelengths. Because the OPSL has a short upper state lifetime that naturally eliminates green noise completely without additional measures, such as complex single longitudinal mode operation, the Sapphire 532 lasers suit DNA sequencing, flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, and high-throughput drug discovery.
