Medical laser developer and maker Lumenis (Yokneam, Israel), whose products target aesthetic, ophthalmic, and surgical applications, has named Ophir Yakovian as chief financial officer (CFO), effective February 1, 2012.
Previously, Yakovian served as vice president of finance at Verint Systems Inc. Prior to his time at Verint, he served as corporate controller at Metalink Ltd. Yakovian holds a BA in accounting and economics and MA in business economics from Bar Ilan University, and is a certified public accountant (CPA).
Yakovian will succeed Aviram Steinhart, who has left the company to join Ceragon Networks Ltd. as its new CFO.
