QPC's (Sylmar, CA) Brightlase Ultra-500 is now available with up to 100W of CW power from a 400um fiber at wavelengths from 13xxnm to 19xxnm. The compact source promises ease of use and cost effectiveness. It targets high water absorption peaks for precision surgery applications such as cancer treatment, benign prostate hyperplesia surgery, and cardiac operations. Options include detachable delivery fiber, fiber detector, cooling system, aiming beam, and photodiode.

Brightlase Ultra-500 for surgical applications

January 15, 2009--After a year of successful qualification in surgery operating rooms over the world, QPC's Brightlase Ultra-500 is now available with up to 100W of CW power from a 400um fiber at wavelengths from 13xxnm to 19xxnm.

The Ultra-500 series features a compact, easy to use and cost effective source for all important eye-safe wavelengths from 13xxnm to 19xxnm targeting high water absorption peaks for precise surgical applications such as cancerous treatment, benign prostate hyperplesia and cardiology. Medical grade accessories include detachable delivery fiber and fiber detection, cooling system, aiming beam, and photodiode.
