Ultrahigh birefringence fiber for Raman pump lasers by Fibercore

Nov. 15, 2013
HB14XXT polarization-maintaining fiber from Fibercore delivers optimized performance to optical components that operate in the Raman pump band.

HB14XXT polarization-maintaining fiber from Fibercore (Southampton, England) delivers optimized performance to optical components that operate in the Raman pump band. A 1 mm beat length (typical) and polarization extinction ratio (PER) enable use over a wide operating temperature range and in more demanding deployment or assembly conditions without performance degradation. The company's bowtie design allows handling, cleaving, and splicing characteristics with >0.1 dB/splice at 45°. Applications include those where the optical fiber is subject to multiple handling operations.
