A line of shaped tip fibers and fiber assemblies from Fiberguide Industries includes conical, ball, radiused, chiseled, and angular fiber-ended versions to control laser light during medical procedures.

A line of shaped tip fibers and fiber assemblies from Fiberguide Industries (Stirling, NJ) includes conical, ball, radiused, chiseled, and angular fiber-ended versions to control laser light during medical procedures. The fibers are created using the company’s design software and fiber processing techniques, while the tips allow shaping of the outbeam beam and/or increasing light collection efficiency. Applications include benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), optical coherence tomography (OCT), and photodynamic therapy (PDT) laser treatments. Customized designs are also available.
