High-tech business development company IVO Associates (Cambridgeshire, England) is introducing the KeepLoop – a miniature microscope module. Manufactured in Finland, the KeepLoop turns an ordinary mobile phone into a microscope by attaching a thin magnetic microscope in front of the phone’s lens. Its accurate to one hundredth of a millimeter. Use of the module is easy: one simply attaches it to their mobile, turns on the LED light source, starts the phone camera, previews the image, and click! The KeepLoop is already in use in industrial markets, in the life sciences sector and for general education. Users are able to quickly examine samples and then transmit microscope images with their mobile phone to anywhere in the world.
