Thorlabs acquires DVC Company

Optics, photonics and imaging products maker Thorlabs recently acquired DVC Company, a scientific imaging solutions provider.

Optics, photonics, and imaging products maker Thorlabs (Newton, NJ) recently acquired DVC Company (Austin, TX), a scientific imaging solutions provider. Under the terms of the acquisition, DVC becomes Thorlabs Scientific Imaging (TSI), a business unit of Thorlabs, and remains at its Austin, TX address. Ash Prabala, DVC chief technologist and co-manager, will keep his same role at TSI.

The acquisition enables TSI to create stronger imaging technology for the life sciences, says Prabala.
