While COVID-19 has put a damper on tradeshows and face-to-face meetings, new photonics products continue to be developed. That’s why next month, on December 8th and 9th, we are launching Laser Focus World’s Product Video Demo Days—a two-day interactive event where photonics professionals will come to learn specifically about key products and technology innovations. Product Video Demo Days aims to highlight these new products and show you how they can help photonics professionals solve problems and do their jobs better. During the event, you will hear from leading photonics suppliers about their latest and greatest product developments.

Our platform gives you a one-stop shop to learn about emerging trends in technology, view the latest products and solutions, and connect with our industrys leading manufacturers.

This free event will take place over a two-day period and will be a mix of educational videos, quick chat videos, and customer-supplied product videos to help you make informed buying decisions for your company. In my welcome video, I’ll provide a photonics market research update detailing how COVID has impacted the photonics marketplace in 2020, and some things we have learned about the outlook for 2021.

Senior Editor John Wallace will also provide a video overview of the technology behind kilowatt-class fiber lasers that combine active (laser-gain) optical fiber with one or more pump lasers, usually laser diodes, and their use in materials processing and other applications such as development for the military as directed-energy weapons. Also, I want to mention that we have a number of exciting product giveaways, including JBL Bluetooth speakers, a Yeti cooler, and a drone. By browsing the product demo videos, you will be automatically entered for a chance to receive one of these prizes. We will announce the first round of winners on December 10th, and a second set of prize winners will be announced on February 1st. Id like to personally invite you to participate in this exciting new program, so please mark your calendars (go to http://bit.ly/ProdDemoDays) and keep an eye out for more details coming soon!
