Laser Focus World 2021 Rising Stars Awards: Sonika Obheroi
Sonika Obheroi is a key player in the world of AR/VR display systems as a product manager for the NED-LMD near-eye display family of products at Gamma Scientific. This technology was one of the first near-eye display testers on the market in its first conception of capabilities. The patented optical design near-eye display tester can emulate the human eye and perceive what the human eye will see, allowing the NED system to quantify the user experience.
With over 20 test functions available, Sonika and her team have developed a robust testing set to provide highly accurate and repeatable testing in one comprehensive system. She leads her team in providing customized solutions for AR/VR/MR/XR display testing that adapts to an instrument or company’s testing requirements.
Gamma Scientific leadership notes that “to make this possible by her mid-20s is a testament to [Obheroi’s] ability to leverage her knowledge, leadership skills, and solution-oriented mindset to further display metrology capacity for the AR/VR industry.”
