MWIR lenses are designed for thermal imaging

July 1, 2023
LightIR 10-135 mm and 18-225 mm midwave-infrared (MWIR) f/3.6 continuous-zoom lenses feature low SWaP.

LightIR 10-135 mm and 18-225 mm midwave-infrared (MWIR) f/3.6 continuous-zoom lenses feature low size, weight, and power (SWaP) and a detection range over 15 km. The thermal imaging lenses are optimized for smaller-size VGA 10 µm focal-plane array (FPA) IR detectors. A compact design with reduced optical elements decreases the length and weight of the lens.
