The F-100T Version 7 is a fast-pulse amplifier-discriminator that amplifies and processes pulses from a photomultiplier tube or electron multiplier. The device replaces a traditional preamplifier, linear amplifier, and lower-level discriminator. The discriminator has an input sensitivity of 100 µV to 200 mV for TTL output pulses and can handle a maximum pulse-repetition rate of more than 50 MHz for equally spaced pulses. The hand-sized device is compatible with most ratemeters and counter/timers.
