A family of Contact Image Sensors (CISs) is designed for page scanners, digital copiers, and general document-scanning applications. The sensor modules contain a light source, optics, detectors, and signal-processing circuitry. The companys MOS image sensor technology is used in the 200 and 300 series CIS modules. The SV200A4 model has 1728 elements capable of scanning an A4 size document with 8 dots/mm resolution. The SV300A4 model can scan the same document with 12-dots/mm resolution.
