Red photodiode/amplifier

Feb. 1, 1996
An integrated circuit containing both a photodiode and amplifier is molded in a red plastic package that provides optical filtering. The OPT101-R chip filters wavelengths shorter than 570 nm. Applications include smoke detectors, position and proximity sensors, and medical and laboratory instrumentation. The IC`s output current is linear with the light intensity. The IC works on voltages from 2.7 to 36 and draws a current of 120 µA. The detector has a bandwidth of 14 kH¥and responsivity
