The mvPower VME-based board-level image-processing system includes a Motorola 100-MH¥PowerPC 603e processor. Including the CPU on the board reduces traffic on the VME bus. The board also includes an arithmetic processor and crosspoint switch designed for image processing and three VSIM memories, which can also perform some processing of pixels at 40 Mbit/s. The product was designed for OEMs needing motion guidance, accurate measurement, and fast inspection.
