A six-element silicon PIN photodiode is designed for light position sensing and signal detection in devices, such as optical disks and CDs. The Model S6344 has a spectral range from 320 to 1060 nm, with peak sensitivity at 920 nm. Typical photosensitivity is 550 mA/W at 780 nm with a minimum rating of 500 mA/W.
