Cooled PMT systems

Nov. 1, 1994
Housings and accessories that cool photomultiplier tubes (PMTs) lower the dark current and stabilize the responsivity of a PMTbased detection system, thereby allowing the measurement of weaker signals. Detection system includes a PMT, cooled housing with cooling controller, coolant recirculator, power supply, and signalhandling equipment. Users can select a sideon or endon PMT and housing with a builtin preamplifier and either a builtin or standalone highvoltage power supply. Options permit cool
