Fiber detector/receiver

A receiver for fiberoptics systems offers high speed and wide bandwidth. The FRL 1500 Series of receivers integrates a low-noise GaAs HBT preamplifier with a high-speed InGaAs PIN photodiode in a TO-46 package. Bandwidths can vary from dc to 1.3 GHz, and data rates of 1.7 Gbit/s NRP are possible using the pigtailed package. The receiver consumes less than 80 mW (15 mA at 5 V).
