X-ray imaging camera

April 1, 1995
The XR200 cooled CCD camera for digital x-ray imaging uses patented fiberoptic/CCD bonding technology. Imaging area is a 58.4-mm square with 1024 ¥ 1024-pixel resolution. A fiberoptic reducer gives efficient optical coupling between the CCD and an x-ray scintillator screen with a 12-bit gray-level depth (4096 gray levels). Sensitivity can exceed that of x-ray film/screen combinations.
