Opto Diode to introduce NIR photodiodes at SPIE Photonics West 2016

Jan. 20, 2016
The NXIR line of photodiodes has utility in back-facet laser-monitoring applications that require improved performance in the NIR spectrum from 700 to 1100 nm.

The NXIR line of photodiodes has utility in back-facet laser-monitoring applications that require improved performance in the near-infrared (NIR) spectrum from 700 to 1100 nm. The NXIR-RF36 and NXIR-RF70 NIR/red-enhanced models can integrate with semiconductor lasers such as Fabry-Perot, distributed feedback (DFB), and vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs). The NXIR-5W photodiode has use in high-power-laser monitoring that requires higher responsivity in the NIR spectrum, and pairs with YAG lasers used in biological, dental, and medical equipment, plus fluid dynamics, manufacturing, and military applications.
