Los Angeles, CA, August 7, 2003. DMG Technologies Inc. was formed recently to acquire the assets and IP rights of Demeter Module Group from Finisar Corp. The purchase was privately funded. DMG Technologies designs and manufactures optical subassemblies, including laser/PIN diodes and detectors, as well as bi-directional and combiner devices.

DMG is under the direction of Malcolm McLean, President and Chief Executive Officer. McLean was formerly Director of Sales and Marketing at thin-film manufacturer Auxora Inc. Prior to that he was Vice President, Worldwide Sales, for Lyte Optronics, a manufacturer of visible laser components.

McLean remarked, "DMG already has added new supply agreements to the stable customer base that was in place at the time of purchase. We continue to provide technical, engineering, and service support for existing product lines. We will continue to deliver the same world-class product manufacturing and superior service that our customer base demands."

McLean added, "In addition, DMG has an aggressive new product road map to address needs in a number of industries including sensors, biomedicine, spectroscopy, and government, as well as telecomm and datacomm. These products include a 2.5 Gig APD-TIA Receiver; 10 Gig APD-TIA Receiver; 2.5 Gig DFB TOSA; 10 Gig DFB TOSA for XFP; and EPON Bi Di with APD. As a result, DMG has embarked on a significant program to add highly qualified staff and state of the art equipment to our already excellent team."

Further news related to these and other developments will be made in the coming months. DMG is located in an 11,000 sq. ft. clean room facility in Industry, CA.
