A new meterless laser power sensor measures points deep within instruments and between closely spaced components. The PowerMax USB Wand UV-VIS sensor has a 10-mm-diameter silicon detector, mounted on the end of a 6-in.-long wand that is 0.2 in. thick at its end. It measures average power of lasers from 325 to 900 nm, and senses powers from 100 microW to 300 mW.
