Streak camera from Optronis offers temporal resolution down to 2 ps

Nov. 15, 2013
The OptoScope streak camera, to suppress background noise, has an electro-optic shutter integrated as part of the sensor.

The OptoScope streak camera offers temporal resolution down to 2 ps. To suppress background noise, an electro-optic shutter is integrated as part of the sensor, which has an image refresh rate of up to 2000 Hz and an opening time of at least 2 microseconds. This technology prevents the electro-optical conversion of undesired signals and improves suppression by a factor of ~1000.
