Pyroelectric detectors are PIN compatible

Dec. 28, 2009
Spectrum Detector has launched a complete line of pyroelectric detectors that are direct, PIN-compatible replacements for Molectron detectors.

Spectrum Detector is launching a complete line of LiTaO3 pyroelectric detectors that are direct, PIN-compatible replacements for the old Molectron detectors, which are now difficult to obtain. The SPC series of detectors include discrete elements from 1 to 9 mm diameter. The SPH series of hybrid detectors include these same element sizes mated to both voltage- and current-mode circuits. All of these devices are packaged in miniature TO5 or TO8 Cans.

PRESS RELEASE

Spectrum Detector, Inc. manufactures a complete line of LiTaO3 Pyroelectric Detectors that are PIN-compatible replacements for the old Molectron P1-series detectors.

Don Dooley, President of Spectrum Detector, says that old Molectron line of Pyre's are becoming harder to get

Lake Oswego, Oregon — Spectrum Detector, Inc. President Don Dooley, who is the past founder of Molectron Detector, announced that they have designed and now manufacture a complete line of LiTaO3 Pyroelectric Detectors that are direct, PIN compatible replacements for the old Molectron Detectors. "We've taken advantage of our intimate knowledge of the P1-series performance and packaging to create a new set of products that are equal in performance and of greater value (i.e. lower prices)"…says Don.

Our many years of experience in the Pyroelectric Detector Technology and full knowledge of their applications …including laser energy meters, optical pyrometers, IR gas analyzers, broadband radiometers, and many more…make Spectrum Detector the perfect partner for your Pyroelectric Detector needs.

Our SPC series of detectors include discrete elements from 1 mm to 9 mm diameter. Our SPH series of Hybrid Detectors include these same element sizes mated to both Voltage and Current Mode circuits. All of these devices are packaged in miniature TO5 or TO8 Cans.
