AMS planar diffused UV photodiodes available in metal or ceramic packages
The UV-EQ / EQC / EK series and the UV-DQ / DQC / DK series of planar diffused UV photodiodes feature silicon processed for responsivity over 200 - 400 nm. The EQ, EQC, DQ, and DQCs offer sensitivity down to 190 nm, while the DK and EKs offer down to 320 nm. The photodiodes feature metal or ceramic packages with quartz or borosilicate windows, and can be reverse-biased for lower capacitance for UV spectrophotometers, analytical instruments and medical instrumentation.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
New planar diffused UV photodiodes
Martinsried, 19th April 2010 – OSI Optoelectronics has released two new families of planar diffused UV photodiodes: the UV-EQ / EQC / EK series and the UV-DQ / DQC / DK series.
Special features:
- The new silicon is processed for enhanced responsivity over 200-400nm and to guarantee sensitivity down to 190nm (EQ, EQC, DQ, DQC).
- The DK and EK series are sensitive down to 320nm and offer hermetic package at a lower cost.
- The response in the NIR region has been suppressed (EQ and EQC).
The photodiodes feature metal or ceramic package with quartz or borosilicate window. These detectors can be reverse biased for lower capacitance, faster response and wider dynamic range applications. They are ideal for UV spectrophotometers, analytical instruments and medical instrumentation.
The products of OSI Optoelectronics are available from AMS Technologies and will be exhibited at Optatec 2010, Frankfurt, Germany, 15-18 June 2010, AMS Technologies stand # F40.
OSI Optoelectronics has over 40 years of experience in providing the highest performance standard and custom optoelectronics devices for industrial, security, military, aerospace and medical industries. The company develops and manufactures a wide range of Si, GaAs and InGaAs photodiodes, APDs, optical commercial devices and optical switches.
