Opto Diode IR detector allows industrial carbon monoxide detection

Nov. 30, 2017
The BXT2-17TF single-channel infrared (IR) detector has an integrated 4.67 μm optical bandpass silicon filter.

The BXT2-17TF single-channel infrared (IR) detector has an integrated 4.67 μm optical bandpass silicon filter. The lead selenide (PbSe)-cooled device allows industrial carbon monoxide detection in harsh environments. It has minimum responsivity of 1.2 × 10 V/W, with the active-element temperature controlled to -30°C. Housed in a standard TO37 can, it has a 2 mm active area.
