A Glan Laser Prism Polarizer consists of two identical prisms made from birefringent materials, the prisms are assembled with an air gap in between. This polarizer is a modification of the Glan Taylor Polarizer and is designed to induce less reflection loss at the prisms’ interface. The versions that are mounted with two escape windows allow rejected beams to escape out of the polarizers, which makes the polarizers more capable of handling high energy laser systems.
Hangzhou Shalom EO offers glan laser polarizing prisms made of Alpha-BBO (wavelength range 200-300nm, 300-700nm, and 700-3500nm), Calcite (wavelength range 350-2300nm), YVO4 (wavelength range 500-4000nm). The polarizers are of a high extinction ratio (<5x10^-6), mounting options of either round or rectangular shapes are available and could be configured with escape windows.
