It has been 3 years since Sensofar Germany opened its commercial office in Munich. This office has more than doubled its turnover in 2020. Hiring a new salesperson was an important step to reach the goal. With this step Sensofar Germany and Austria follows its strategy to provide the best possible application & technical support for its customers in Germany and Austria. Sensofar’s 3D optical measurement systems and their continuous improvements and developments constitute an important catalyst for scientific and research activity.
In the words of Jakob Mallmann, Sensofar Sales Manager Germany and Austria:
“We are very satisfied with the solid growth that the office has experienced, taking into account that we opened it at a time of economic recession for the automotive sector, which is so important in the German territory, and in the context of the pandemic has not benefited us either”
Germany is one of the pillars of the expansion process of the Sensofar group in Europe. As Mr. Mallmann highlights,
“Sensofar has managed to position itself as the benchmark metrological partner in important entities in the German speaking area”
Recently, it has also become part of the Network NanoAnalytics cluster, in which we hope to contribute with our metrological technologies and solutions in the German nanotechnology market. In fact, a joint event with the cluster member NanoSurf is being prepared for the month of July, in which we will explain, how our technology helps in measuring nanostructured surfaces.
The firm commitment to internationalization has been key in the growth of the company from the beginning. With direct presence in Asia, the United States and Germany and through local partners worldwide, Sensofar has managed to establish itself as a reference in optical technologies such as Confocal.
“We have achieved a significant degree of maturity in the market and we intend to reinforce the globalization of the company with the opening of new direct offices, later on” points out Alberto Aguerri,VP Sales at Sensofar
The German office will soon change its location and will be located in Langen, in the center of the country, very close to Frankfurt. The new facility, in addition to being more spacious, will include a showroom where samples can be analyzed and the Sensofar portfolio can be shown on site. This change is also closely related to the latest addition of Dr. Michael Kuhne, to the German sales team, he is an expert in the operation and support of our systems. Mr. Kuhne is undoubtedly an important asset for the company that will strengthen Sensofar’s capabilities in this market, offering its clients more than 15 years of experience in the field of optical metrology and endorsed by multiple projects under Sensofar umbrella.
